Introduction to 1 John

CHRISTIANS HAVE NO DOUBT ABOUT SALVATION

The first epistle of John was written around 85AD. It could be 5 years earlier or later but let us say around 85AD. John is also known as the apostle John, not to be confused with John the Baptist. John was one of the youngest disciples of Jesus, known as the beloved one that was leaning on the bosom of Jesus; it was John that was the only disciple who witnessed Jesus crucifixion.

John is the author of several books in the New Testament. He not only wrote 1 John but also the Gospel of John, 2 John, 3 John and Revelation.

It is interesting that John was the only disciple of the twelve that died a natural death. All the other disciples were martyred for their faith. There is a tradition going around that people tried to kill the apostle John but were not able to because of God’s protection on his life. People tried to burn him in a pot with oil, but John didn’t suffer anything…

Before we study 1 John in detail I need to give some brief outlines on this awesome and powerful book that can change your life forever. When you read through 1 John there are 2 main verses – 1:4 & 5:19.

John starts of in 1:4 with stating “and these things we write to you hat your joy may be full.” The main reason for John to write this letter is to instruct us as Christians how to experience the fullness of life. John wants us to experience the joy that is available for all who follow Jesus. However to experience this joy that John is talking about we have to understand to whom John is writing this letter.

1 John 5:19 “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.”

As you look at this verse notice that every Christian is called to be different. It is not possible to be a Christian and still be part of the worldly system. Christians need to be in the world but not part of the world. Be aware that John is not saying that we have to become monks or nuns. John is not saying that we have to leave the world, but that we should not be part of the world.

There is an amazing revelation in this verse. Notice that those who are Christians know their God. Christians don’t have to be in doubt about their salvation. Christians know they will be going to heaven. When people doubt about their salvation that is because they are not saved yet or lost their salvation. This shows us also that John wrote First John to believers and not to unbelievers. As he was writing he was expecting the people to be saved who were reading it.

Besides the Christian knowing their God and that they will be going to heaven there is another truth that Christians know and that is that the world is under the power of Satan. This explains why the world is as it is with it recessions, poverty, wars, drugs, sickness, etc., however, the good news is that those who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior are no longer under the power of Satan. We are part of the Kingdom of Heaven. Satan has no longer a grip upon us. We don’t have to be part of recessions, poverty, wars, sickness, etc. We are set free through Jesus Christ. However, this principle only applies to those who know their God and know without a doubt that they are saved. Ask yourself if you would die today would you know 100% for sure you will be going to heaven to be with Jesus? If not don’t waste any time, repent and turn away from all wickedness and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior in your life and start following and obeying HIM in all things.

SMALL GROUP STUDY GUIDE

·        Start with 1 or 2 Icebreaker(s) if necessary

o       What is your favorite T.V. program? How does it influence you?

o       What examples would you like others to follow about you?

1.       1 JOHN 1-5 These coming few months we will be studying the book of 1 John together. Believing that it can and will transform your life if you are willing to accept the life changing teaching of the apostle John.

2.       Who is John? (John was one of Jesus disciples. He was the youngest but called the beloved. He was the one that leaned on the bosom of Jesus. He was the only disciple that witnessed Jesus crucifixion.)

3.       What books did he write? (Gospel of John, 1, 2, 3 John and Revelation)

4.       When was 1 John written? (Most likely around 85AD. This means that John was an old man full of experience how to live out the Christian life. This letter is written to his children in the LORD.)

5.       What was the purpose for John to write this letter – 1 John 1:4? (That we as Christians might experience the joy of the LORD in a difficult and corrupt world.)

6.       There are 2 main passages in this book. Starting in 1 John 1:4 and ending with 1 John 5:19. Before we are going to go through the book verse by verse I like to highlight these passages so we can have a better understanding of the whole book. Let us go to 1 John 5:19 and read that passage several times in as much as possible different versions as possible and share with each other what the passage is saying to you….

7.       1 JOHN 5:19 – while looking at the passage try to answer the following questions: what is the first thing you notice about Christians and the world? (We are called to be different.)

8.       Ask yourself what is your position in the world? What is the difference between you and the world? Is there any difference?

9.       What is your attitude toward the things in the world? Are you pursuing the things of the world or the things of HIS kingdom?

10.   Since we are in the world and not part of the world, how should we behave ourselves in the world?

11.   Ask yourself when you face difficulties, what do you do? Response in a worldly way or Godly way? Panic? Rejoice? Worry? Pray?

12.   Before we continue what was the reason for John writing this letter – 1 John 1:4? (That our joy may be full.)

13.   Do you notice that 1 John 5:19 says “We know that we are of God”, what does this mean. When we know, it shows that we are not in darkness or doubt about belonging to the Kingdom of God. Christians are people who are certain. Christians are people that know without a doubt, 100% that they are saved and will go to heaven. Ask yourself do you know that you go to heaven? Or do you sometimes doubt? If you doubt you can be sure you are not going to heaven. Every Christian can know for 100% that they are going to heaven. If you have any doubt you are definitely not going to heaven. Do you know you are saved and belong to God? Open up for discussion….

14.   Another thing we know is that the world is under the power of Satan. Sometimes I find it funny how Christians get upset about everything that is happening in the world. Of course everything that is happening in the world is bad and it will only get worse. What can you expect, Satan is in control. Satan has nothing good in store…However the good news is that those who accept Jesus are set free and no longer live under the bondage of Satan. Look at John 10:10… open up for discussion….

15.   So what is John trying to teach us? Does John suggest we should change the world? Does John suggest we should turn our back to the world? Withdraw from it? Neither of these, the Christians need to make sure that they know who they belong too and not be influenced by the world but still be in the world. Though we are in the world we should be free of the world. We are made to be more than conquerors and given the opportunity to live a life of joy, peace, kindness, etc…. Our lives should reflect that of Kingdom principles and not that of worldly principles. Share your thoughts on today’s teaching…

Open up for ministry time if necessary…..

 Greetings in the Lord!!!

Wow what an awesome month. God is so good! So many things is happening in our midst. Praise the Lord! Hope you are doing okay. We are all doing great and are blessed to be able to serve the Lord in the Philippines.

This month God is opening new doors into prision ministry. What a breakthrough! Attendance seems to be growing during the weekly meetings. We are looking forward to see how God is going to raise up disciples in the prison. Continue to pray for this new ministry that God may continue to guide those who are involved.

The church continues to grow. This month the Lord has opened up many new doors for us to start new Home Churches. So please keep praying. We are expecting a huge harvest in the month of April.....

The discipleship School continues to grow too. We have added 2 new students to the school and maybe next month another 1-2 students will be added. At the moment we have 9 full time students that are being trained for full time ministry. Praise the Lord! God is doing such a wonderful work in our midst.

Also the Lord has blessed us with a wonderful holiday for 5 days. Praise the Lord! I had a wonderful time with the family. It was so good to be able to have a little break and leave the city to spend time with my family. The kids are still talking about the holiday. They had such a blessed time. Playing in the sand, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking (although the kids didn't really appreciate this one so much.....) and more swimming. All in all we had a wonderful time on holiday. The beaches are beautiful here once you are able to leave the city.

Really want to thank you for your continued faithful support. I will never be able to thank you all for all your help. I just wish I could let you know how much I appreciate your continued faithful help and support. Know that without your help we would not be able to have this ministry in the Philippines. Where lives are being changed and impacted for the glory of the Lord. Thanks a million for everything. Feel free to write me. I love to hear from you.

Lots of love,

         Arthur Peter

Discipleship Training School (DTS)

This month two new students joined DTS. At the moment we have 9 full time students. Every month I will add a testimony of the students who are part of DTS. Who can better share with you what God is doing in their life, than the students themselves. So you will be able to see the wonderful work God is doing... Lives are being changed and transformed. People who join DTS will never be the same. Thanks for supporting our students and making it possible for them to undergo a training, so their lives will never be the same again.

Testimony Esther....

Here in Discipleship Training School (DTS) where I am being trained to be effective follower for the purpose and for the glory of God. In my first year of my training i went through a very difficult time as if I would not survive. The training was very intensive. God rearranged everything inside out. God changed my way of thinking and doing. I have learned many things and will continue to learn more (There is so much things that I need to learn.).

The DTS teaches us sensitive and important topics that have been ignored and neglected by many churches of today. it teaches us about "Pride & Humility", "How to Relate to Authority", "Evangelism", "Loyalty & Disloyalty", "Stewardship" and many more...

The training is all about learning and applying it in real life. Teachings that can't be ignored because it is following wherever you go and makes you aware of all the things you have learned.

During my training I have really grown in my faith and learned how to live by faith. Also I am learning more and more what it means to be death to self. More and more I realize that it is not about me or I, but God's greatness and grace that abounds in my life.

The biggest challenge for us is that while we are being trained we are being sent out taking the responsibility fo a shepherd or Pastor. It is only by God's grace that we can do such a wonderful work. I have learned to be independant but at the same time dependant upon God. To follow Him and His leading. I thank the Lord for everything whether good or bad. I will always praise Him and will forever be grateful. Bless His holy name!!!!

                            Sister in Christ,

                                                   Esther

24/7 PRAYER.... 24 HOURS A DAY ... 365 DAY'S A YEAR (House of Prayer)

Awesome things are happening in the church. The presence of God is just awesome! Thank you so much for the goodies that were shipped. Those who send us CD's, thank you so much. It is a real blessing to have more praise and worhip cd's. It helps us to continue to pray.....

God continues to move in our midst. This month we have seen an awesome growth in the church. We have a total of 15 Home Churches (between 3-12 members) and 15 Bible Studies (potential Home church, but not approved yet.). This means that the church has 30 small groups at the moment. However, the good news is that we are expecting a huge growth in the month of April. Pray with us that we may see the breakthrough we are expecting.... Very exciting!

God is doing such a beautiful work in our midst. Nice and sweet presence in our midst. People are getting delivered and set free from bondages. Also God is opening up a new door. It looks like the Lord is opening up doors for prison ministry. This past month we have had several meetings and the meetings continue to grow. Pray that this new ministry that it will continue to grow.....

On April 12 we will have our Celebration Party. Every two months the church has a gathering of all the Home Churches and encourages all members to come together for fellowship and worship. Looking forward to see all the members come together to worship the Lord...

Rachel's Testimony about 24/7 Prayer

Hi I am Rachel, when 24/7 prayer started many things happened. We experienced persecution, rejection and many lies from the enemies, but God showed us that Satan is trembling and afraid.

The 24/7 prayer watch is very powerful; the presence of God is very strong. I remember my experience when I was worshipping I heard another voice sing together with me and footsteps walking in the sanctuary, the precious Holy Spirit is always in the sanctuary and many prayer request are being answered. Jesus said that we are His precious servants, be faithful to serve Him as long as we are alive! God told me that we can retire from our career but never from serving Him.

Spiritual Reflections  (Story with a Spiritual Message)

Nothing Grows Under The Banyan Tree

"Nothing grows under a banyan tree." This South Indian proverb
speaks of leadership styles. The banyan is a great tree. It spreads its
branches, drops air-roots, develops secondary trunks and covers the land. A full grown banyan may cover more than an acre of land. Birds, animals,
and humans find shelter under its shade. But nothing grows under its
dense foliage, and when it dies, the ground beneath lies barren and
scorched.

The banana tree is the opposite. Six months after it sprouts,
small shoots appear around it. At twelve months a second circle of shoots

What is Tithing?

9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:9

Tithing is a principle of giving ordained by the Lord. The word tithe literally means 10%. In other words a tenth of all your income and produce should be returned to the Lord. Notice that it says the first fruits and not last fruits. Meaning that tithing should really be the first thing we lay aside and give to the Lord. Not the last thing we do and try to fit in.

Tithing is giving a tenth of what we receive, to God. It is not a donation to God, but merely the recognition of His ownership of our lives, acknowledging Him as our high priest and Lord. The tithe belongs to the Lord (Leviticus 27:30-34). Everything on this earth belongs to the Lord and He has given us stewardship over 90% of it. MORE.........

Update from the Philippines....

Touching The Nations

   Family Picture

 Greetings from the Philippines,

It has been a while that I sent an update of what is happening in the Philippines. We are all doing great here in Puerto Princesa City. Children are running and alive and keeping us very busy. Praise the Lord! This past Monday we were able to go to the beach with boys. They love the beach. Playing in the sand and finding crabs, sea stars and this past Monday we even found some jelly fish.... No worries nothing happened. We had a great time at the beach.

Now a little update on the ministry. The coming week children will be starting school again. Thanks to your support we were able to give away some school supplies to children that have been coming faithfully to Sunday School. Your help is really appreciated and the children and their parents want to say thank you for all your help and support.

Next to this we have also started a choir in our church. About 7-8 people are part of the choir. Although I am maybe not really objective I think the choir does a really good job. Learning a lot as we go along, but it is a true blessing having a choir during our worship service.

Things are going well with the 6 students of the discipleship school and church. Many members are feeling that the Lord is getting our heart in the right place. It is not a problem for the Lord to sent a revival to our city, but the problem is us as people. Our heart need to be in the right place before God can sent a revival.

Lately our prayer meetings have experienced an increase of attendance. With biggest attendance on Friday evening. About 20 people showed up. I love it when many people show up. It is such a blessing and the presence of the Lord is just wonderful....

In closing I would like to thank all the prayer and financial supporters for all your help. As you maybe have noticed our average support level has increased from 50% to almost 55%. Still in need of more support but it is going the right direction. Looking forward to come to TN where some people and pastors have shown interest in the ministry. Praise the Lord! God is just awesome!!!!

Thanks again for all your faithful support and continued help. Know that without your help and support we would not have any ministry here in the Puerto Princesa City. Thanks for being part of fulfilling the great commission in the Philippines....

Lots of love,

           Arthur Peter

Touching The Nations

Family Picture Hello,

A little update of how things are going. This past Sunday I had the privilege to be able to speak at Wellspring Church - www.wellspringministries.com Great church and great pastor!!! The message was about how we as Christians should be a house of prayer. More and more God is putting on my heart the importance of prayer.

Besides sharing a message I have been able to walk along Evangelist Jim Webber - www.biblejim.com - and learn from him as we witnessed on the strip and on campus. Awesome experience and he has an awesome ministry. I learned so much from him just by walking with him and being with him for a few days. On Tuesday evening I joined one of his bible study groups and boy are they on fire for God. Hallelujah, that is all I can say!

I will be leaving Las Vegas on Tuesday April 22. Hopefully I will be able to speak in another church this coming weekend before leaving to return to the Philippines. Unfortunately I forgot the cable to download my photo's from the camera, which means I can't show you any pictures of Las Vegas.

Here is a little nugget that was send to me and blessed me. Hope it blesses you too.

LESSONS ON LIFE

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge
things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look
at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son
said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.

Moral:
Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don't judge life by one difficult season.
Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later.

Thanks a million for all your support and prayers. May God bless you abundantly above all you can ask or think. Know that you are loved.

                                                           Lots of love,

                                                                          Arthur Peter

NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2008

Touching The Nations

Family Picture Dear Friend,

Year 2007 has passed and another year has come - 2008. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The boys and Flower are doing great.
Barnabas asks almost every day when Opa & Oma (Granddad & Grandmother) are coming. It has been 2 years ago I have seen my parents so we are looking forward to their arrival on January 17.

Thanks again for all your help and support this past year. It is hard to believe that we have been here in the Philippines for almost 3 years now.

UNFORTUNATELY WE DON'T HAVE PICTURES OF ANY EVENTS. OUR CAMERA IS BROKEN. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE AND WILL HAVE NEW PICTURES AGAIN IN OUR NEXT NEWSLETTER!!!

CHRISTMAS OUTREACHLisa Llagas

The Christmas Outreach was a great success. We were able to bless 40 poor families with a food parcel. Many members of the church joined in the Christmas Outreach to help a hand. Thanks for supporting TTN. It is through your support we were able to bless some real poor families. It was such a great success that we are planning to do it again next year.

CHRISTMAS PARTY

After the Christmas Outreach we at the church had a Christmas party for the members. Remember that December is hot in the Philippines. Our Christmas party was at the swimming pool. Although many students already gone home for Christmas still

Juland
many people showed up. About 60-70 people showed up to join celebration. When it was time to go home we were all tired, but very happy!

CHURCH PLANT

The members of the church are very excited about the year 2008. We believe that this year will be harvest time. The year 2007 was sowing time, but now we are looking forward to see many saved. Although we haven't reached our goal of 50 cell groups in April yet, however, we are expecting to have about 25-30 cell groups in January. The church is going the right direction.
Our main problem this year is not to get cell groups, but to find

Donna Woods
people who would be willing to lead a cell group. However, God is working in people's heart and we will keep pressing on for with God nothing is impossible.

The 3 disciples in training - Lisa, Donna & Juland - are all three doing great and growing in the Lord. This past month it was Donna's turn to share a message. She did a great job and talked about the cost of discipleship.

It looks like the Lord will be adding another disciple to our discipleship program in April. Another person has shown interest to be trained for full time ministry. This would mean that TTN will soon have 4 disciples in training who want to enter full time ministry. That is just awesome. God is moving in a mighty way.

Thanks for supporting TTN and being part of fulfilling the great commission. It is only through your support that we can continue this ministry and see lives transformed by the power of God.

                              Lots of love,

                                        Arthur Peter & family

Newsletter June 2007

Touching The Nations

Family Picture Dear Friend,

This month we had some sicknesses in our family. As the weather changes we had some colds. However, everyone is doing okay now. The kids are running and the parents are running after them (just kidding).

Most of the members were challenged this past month. For the first time after 2 years I felt impressed from the Lord to teach on Tithes & Offerings. As usual when it comes to money people become very protective. However, in general the members that have been coming regularly seem to accept the teaching and are trying to apply it. Very encouraging for me to see how sincere some of the members are in their walk with the Lord. When people are willing to start giving into the Kingdom you know that they are serious about following Jesus.

Barnabas and Caleb playing together

We want to thank you for giving so generously to Touching the Nations. Without your help we would not be able to touch lives. It is so great to enter into our 3rd phase (More information see below) as we started our ministry in the Philippines. We are heading for some exciting times. It is so good to see the Lord move in our midst. Be sure to check out our web page www.touchingthenations.com We have made some major changes and updates. Thanks again for all your help and support. May the Lord bless you abundantly above all you can ask or think (Eph. 3:20).

                  Lots of love,

                              Arthur Peter & family

Donna WoodsDISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM

After two years TTN is entering into the 3rd phase of our vision. Our first phase was to establish TTN. Second phase was to start ministry in the Philippines – church plant. Now after two years we are getting some disciples. Phase three is where we start our discipleship program. The 4th and final phase will be when we start sending out our first disciples. Looking forward to that, but before we start sending out anyone we will first have to disciple, prepare and equip them for ministry.

          Lisa Llagas

This past month we have officially started to disciple our first 2 disciples – Lisa Llagas and Donna Woods. Just as Jesus had 12 disciples so are we planning to disciple 12 disciples. As soon as the Holy Spirit says they are ready we will sent them out and release them into their own ministry. After every disciple has been trained (this can take about 3-4 years) we ask them to also start discipling their own 12 disciples.  We are looking forward to see the Lord giving us more disciples as time passes, so we can fulfill the great commission according to Matthew 28:18-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen

Some members of the church         However for us to disciple more people we need your help. It cost about $120-$150 per month to support a disciple. This will cover their basic needs like food, clothing & shelter. Normally when a person joins any kind of school they need to pay tuition fee, however TTN feels impressed by the Lord to do it the other way around. Instead of the students pay tuition fee we will provide their basic needs, so that they can grow and focus on the Lord. The Lord used 2 Corinthians 12:14-15 “Now for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.” to make clear that the apostle Paul did the same for his disciples.

I hope you are excited as I am. If you want to be part of fulfilling the great commission you are able to join the discipleship program for $30 per month. This is $1 per month. If you are interested in joining this program or would like some more information feel free to contact us. We would love to hear from you.

Ken KenSUPPORT A CHILD

Besides support a disciple program we have also started another program – Support a Child. In the Philippines there are many poor families. As the church grows we are getting more and more children who could use some help. Some children are not able to go to elementary or high school because their parents are not able to pay their schooling. This means that these children will often end up on the street or collect garbage. MimiAt the moment we are supporting 2 children and next month we will be supporting 3 children.

For $10 per month we can help these children finish their education (elementary & high school) and give them a future. We will use the money to provide their basic needs like school uniforms, school supplies, school projects, medicines if necessary, etc. If you are interested in supporting a child let us know. We would love to hear from you.

School SuppliesMERCY MINISTRIES

This past month we were able to give several children that are coming to church some school supplies as they start their new school year. They were so thankful for all their school supplies. Thanks for making this possible and supporting TTN. It was so good to see all these children together. Now they will be able to go to school without lacking notebooks, pencils, pens, etc. Thank you for your donations and may the Lord bless you.

Update on TANABAG OUTREACH

UPDATE ON TANABAG OUTREACH

The doctor checking some patients
First of all we want to thank you for your support. Through your donations TTN was able to touch and help many people. We will never be able to thank you for making this possible, but we know the Lord will. Thanks a million for your help.

On arrival, Saturday June 3, 2006, the team was challenged and we had a lot of opposition. The weather was not a problem this time, but Satan was using people instead. Satan was not going to let us enter his territory without battle. However, God held the team together and the program started at 1pm as planned. The Lord brought 300 people to the outreach.

We opened the program with some worship and after that local pastors introduced themselves. There were 6 local pastors who attendedTaking blood pressure by some nursing students. the outreach and followed up on those who gave their life to the Lord.

After the opening it was time for the nursing students and some of our members to teach the local people on topics like family planning, hygiene, nutrition and orasol. Next to this we also did blood typing and blood pressure taking. Plus, we gave away reading glasses to those who needed them. This all took about 1 hour.

Then it was time for some of our members to act out a drama and give their testimony about what Christ has done in their life.
This was the first time we did a drama, but they did an excellent job and it is definitely a keeper. Beside the drama, two members of the church, Nato & Blood typingDick, gave their testimony about what God has done in their life. Dick added a bonus to the testimony. He had written a song about his salvation.

The play and testimonies were very powerful and the ongoing theme in the messages was about the freedom we have in Christ. Freedom from sin, alcohol, drugs, etc.

The next item on the agenda was worship. One local church led us into worship. It was good. As we worshipped I could feel an increase in His presence. The people were getting ready to hear the Good News.

After preaching the gospel 10 people gave their life to the Lord. As I was preaching their was a lot of spiritual resistance, but the team was praying and Dick giving his testminyGod prevailed. The area is known has having many witch doctors (heard saying). So that can be the underlining resistance. However, 10 people gave their life to the Lord. The local pastors were so happy with their salvations. They said it is a very hard area to see souls saved. So all we can say is praise the Lord for those 10 souls and may God use them to draw many other people into His Kindom.

After giving the altar call I prayed for those who had problems or sickness. Not so many people came forward, but those who came forward were all touched by the Lord. Five people came forward for prayer and ALL five got healed. Praise the Lord! What a witness of His power. Afterward two of them gave a testimony of what God had done.

Arthur giving altar callAfter this great victory it was time to bless the people more. The Lord had blessed us with funds to give away clothes, school supplies, slippers and food.

If you are interested in seeing more pictures (39) about this outreach click here

The people were so thankful and I wish we as a team would have been able to give much more. These people are so poor, that whatever you give is appreciated. However, they were very thankful for what we were able to give. So again, thanks for making this possible and being part of this ministry.

         God bless,
                   Arthur Peter

10 LITTLE CHRISTIANS

10 Little Christians standing in line
1 disliked the preacher, then there were 9

9 little Christians stayed up very late
1 overslept Sunday, then there were 8

8 little Christians on their way to Heaven
1 took the low road and then there were 7

7 little Christians chirping like chicks
1 disliked music, then there were 6

6 little Christians seemed very much alive
but one lost his interest then there was 5

5 little Christians pulling for Heaven's Shore
but one stopped to rest, then there were 4

4 little Christians each busy as a bee
but one got his feelings hurt, then there were 3

3 little Christians knew not what to do
1 joined the sporty crowd, then there were 2

2 little Christians, our rhyme is nearly done
differed with each other, then there was 1

1 little Christian can't do much 'tis true;
but brought his friend to Bible study -- then there were 2

2 earnest Christians, each won one more
that doubled the number, then there were 4

4 sincere Christians worked early and late
Each won another then there were 8

8 splendid Christians if they doubled as before
In just so many Sundays, we'd have 1,024

In this little jingle, there is a lesson true,
You belong, either to the building-, or to the wrecking-crew!
